To our EDC community,

This post is to update you on the EDC’s concerns with involvement in the STLHE EDI Task Force. 

The EDC Executive has been engaging in unlearning and learning for the last few years to understand how our processes and systems perpetuate colonialism, marginalization, and racism. In response to recent actions by STLHE with and through the STLHE EDI Task Force, the EDC Executive proposes “Non-Participation”’ in the STLHE EDI Task Force. We are also in the process of revisiting and revising our EDC Values, Mission, and Living Plan.

Call for EDC Grants and EDGE proposals

Call for EDC Grant Proposals – Looking for funding for a project that would make a difference to educational development in Canada? Educational Developers Caucus grant proposals (between $500 to $3000) are due October 30. Call for EDC Grants Reviewers – Available between November 2 – 13? We are glad to have new and experienced reviewers to join us and be recognized in the list of reviewers on our website. To volunteer please email the EDC Grants Coordinator, Kyle Scholz (kwscholz@uwaterloo.ca).

Call for EDGEs Proposals – Through a competitive, peer-reviewed process, EDC members can receive up to $2000 to support their professional exchange initiative. EDGEs grant proposals are due October 30. For more information, including the eligibility criteria, EDGEs application form and peer-review rubric, visit https://edc.stlhe.ca/funding/edges/.
